Peranakan Chinese in a Globalizing Southeast Asia

Peranakan Chinese in a Globalizing Southeast Asia is co-published by the NUS Baba House and Chinese Heritage Centre. The publication features 12 papers from a conference in May 2009 about the developments in the study of Peranakan Chinese communities in three ASEAN countries. Case studies addressed various issues such the definition of peranakan; intermarriage socio-politico dimensions; Straits Chinese and their literature and so forth.
