How does a university museum support research and education on campus?

The Annual Report for Academic Year 2023/24 highlights NUS Museum’s ongoing commitment as a university resource, emphasising its mission to provide access to its permanent collections and museum professional expertise.

The report details the significant strides made by our two newly reorganised units, Faculty Engagement and Community Engagement, which facilitated a total of 83 course-related collaborations across various faculties, a total of 22 programmes with 30 collaborators (consisting of NUS students, staff, alumni and local artists) and 43 internship positions. Additionally, the report outlines key developments in our collections and curatorial activities, including important donations from supporters like Alice and Peter Tan, Mok Wei Wei, and Professor Lim Tow Keang. These contributions enhance the Museum’s and Baba House’s resources, supporting the museum’s collective focus on Southeast Asia.
