Talks

Exhibitions are often programmed with complementary talks and seminars to further research in regional art and culture, sometimes culminating in a publication. These events cover wide-ranging topics, in various dialogic formats involving a plethora of interlocutors.

For instance, the ‘Grounded Conversations’ series is a distinct series of panel discussions focusing on art practitioners who have begun to adopt comprehensive paradigms traditionally associated with historical research in their fieldwork methods. Curatorial roundtables have also been held, helmed by the museum’s curators and exhibiting artists, bringing in related researchers, academics and practitioners.

The University’s faculty feature heavily in these events, applying their depth of knowledge and extending the cultural conversation in multiple directions to enrich the learning environment of the University.
