For teachers

Educators of all academic levels are invited to explore how the Museum and its collections may be utilised as a curricular resource and integrated into academic coursework. Museum staff will work with educators to plan the visit and also provide access to the collections and consult on class assignments.

To begin a conversation, please contact our team at least one month prior to your intended visit and provide as much detail as possible. Ideally, please include the objectives of your planned visit, the proposed date(s) and time(s), and the number of students that may be involved.

Arrange a visit

Teachers are encouraged to plan the content of the visit tailored to their curriculum in order to facilitate the learning process, while the Museum team will help you at every step of the way.

The Museum also offers guided tours where our docents will provide detailed insights into the exhibitions and selected artworks. Guided tours for schools are chargeable and capped at 20 students per tour, subjected to the availability of our docents.

Guided tours usually last approximately between 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Access resources

Singapore Teachers Academy for The Arts (STAR) has worked together with NUS Museum to produce a series of Museum-Based Learning videos to guide educators on how they are able to utilise the artworks and exhibitions in their teaching journey at the museum.

Explore the collections

More than 2,000 artefacts from our four collections can be viewed online through the Museum’s Collections Online database along with reference and catalogue details.

Access to specific pieces themselves can be arranged via a simple application.
